Observing the many self-serving groups whose headmasters post with abandon ever-increasing ego-based photos and information designed to allow them to thrust their egos  onto others, we within the Okinawa Butoryu Gohokan Hozon Kai and its related divisions feel our aim is best served to walk our own path and to share what we have with those who walk not behind us or in front of us but beside us! 

The Okinawa Butoryu Gohokan Hozon Kai is not just for Tsuruken but also has divisions for the Soken Kan, Ryukyu Kobudo, Naha-Te and Shuri-Te and even Japanese Koryu. We don’t tell people what to do; rather, we let them decide what direction they will take with our backing and research material via our Members Only Informational pages, etc. The Okinawa Butoryu Gohokan Hozon Kai ….. is not a style but a watershed or group for sharing our research! Doing things this way helps us maintain a healthy attitude to the arts and seeks to avoid the ego and political manifestations seen in other groups and styles. No one is the “Boss”. No one tells the our members what to do with the information we share other than to keep it private and not give it away to people outside of the group! No one person says, “I have it all and am the only true one”
